He married (1) Rebekka Sanders.  He married (2) Marieken Sanders in 1805 in Midwolda, Groningen, Netherlands.  She was born 1778 in Midwolda, Groningen, Netherlands, and died 5 May 1816.

Notes for Elias Isaaks Bamberg:
A certain Elias Izaaks of Jewish Blood and, born about 1765 came to East Groningen and married in Midwolda, in the year 1805 (it is thought).  In his birthplace of the village of Bamberg in Germany, with about 70,000 inhabitants, lived his parents Izaak Elias and Foktje Jacobs.

At the birth of his son Jakob Elias in 1814 father Elias was 50 years old and butcher by profession.  When he died in 1850 he was 84 years old.  So his year of birth must be between 1764 and 1766.

Rebekka was probably a sister to Elias Izaaks's first wife.

                         Notes for Pieter Gerlofs:
                         While in the Netherlands he was a Laborer for a wealthy Farmer.  He married Sanna Bamberg, daughter of Hilko and Fennechein
                         Didel Bamberg.  She was born January 24,1860 in Oostwolde, Groningen, NE.  She worked as a maid to a wealthy farmer in
                         Meerland, Groningen.  (Possibly the same farmer Pieter worked for.)  According to interviews with their children, Pieter and
                         Sanna were married after their first child was born.  Pieter, Sanna and all their children except Fennechien, Johannes and Hilko
                         came to the U.S. aboard the "S.S. NOORDAM" in April 1904.  Johannes and Hilko arrived in Kalamazoo Michigan in early Spring
                         1902 and stayed with a family named Klepper.  When they had earned enough momey they sent for the rest of the family.
                         Fennechien, their oldest daughter had probably married by this time and remained in the "Old Country" with her husband and
                         Children.  There is a photo of her with her Grand Daughter taken perhaps in the 1940's according to family members who once saw
                         it, but can not recall where it is now.  There is no more information about her.

Before the marriage, Sander Bamberg was born on 31 Mar.1865, and at the marriage the child was accepted.

On 16 September 1874 Grietje moved to Midwolda.  Grietje was a Laborer by profession, and could not read or write, as noted in the documents.  She came from Finsterwolde on 16 September 1874.  Grietje left for Winschoten on 4 May 1878, together with the child Luppes.

Gerrit died when he was 34 years old, and had lived in Woldendorp, in the Province of Groningen.

This was the first marriage of Grietje Bamberg, but I have no date for it at this time.

Notes for Jan Hendrik Luppes:
Jan Hendrik Luppes, both his parents were dead when Jan married Grietje Bamberg.  Jan was a Laborer by profession, and lived in Woldendorp.  He was the widow of Teelje Edzes de Groot.

Jan Oolderts Simon 55 years old, who lived together with the family in the same house, did the registration of his decease (death).

Marriage Notes for Grietje Bamberg and Jan Luppes:
This was the 2nd marriage of Grietje Bamberg.  Before the marriage, Sander Bamberg was born on 31 March 1865, and at the marriage the child was accepted.

Notes for Tjakko Van Dijk:
Both parents of Tjakko were already dead when he married Grietje.
Tjakko was 49 years old when he married Grietje, and he was the widow of Trijntje Vlieg.  He was a Laborer by profession.

This was Grietje Bamberg's 3rd marriage.

Notes for Fokko Eggens:
When Fokko married Grietje, both his parents were no longer living.  Fokko was a widow of Meertje Roer and Rikste Niekamp.  Fokko was a Laborer by Profession, and lived in Winschoten.  Witness of this marriage was Aeilko Bakker 68 years old, laborer and living in Scheemda.  Fokko died on 19 March 1897 in Winschoten.  His death registered by the sons Koenraad 32 years old and laborer by profession living in Winschoten, and Hendrik 30 years old also laborer by profession and living in Winschoten.

He was born 26 Jan.1851 in Scheemda, and died 4 Feb.1908 in Scheemda.

14.  Isaak(4)Bamberg [Jakob Elias(3), Elias Isaaks(2), Izaak Elias(1)] was born 30 Apr.1857 in Midwolda, Groningen, NE., and died 26 Aug.1921 in Scheemda.  He married Anna DeLevie 10 Sep.1879 in Veendam, daughter of Mozes DeLevie and Amalia DeVries.  She was born 14 Apr.1858 in Veendam, and died 7 Sep.1921 in Scheemda.
