MacNet Membership - $25 a year

The Digital Divide is REAL.  MacNet is part of MacMedia, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in West Michigan that promotes "Internet for Everyone."  Your $25 annual membership enables MacMedia to bring Internet services to you and others in our community at little or no cost.  

Not everyone has access to computers or the Internet.  While the number of Americans connected to the nation's information infrastructure is soaring the digital divide still exists, and in many cases, is actually widening over time. To be on the less fortunate side of the divide means that there is less opportunity to take part in our new information-based economy, in which many more jobs will be related to computers. It also means that there is less opportunity to take part in the education, training, shopping, entertainment, and communications opportunities that are available online. MacNet's "Internet for Everyone" helps bridge our local digital divide.

One of the most rewarding experiences you can have is helping others in need. There are many opportunities for you to make an impact in the lives of others in our community through MacMedia.

FastMac Acceleration

Family Plan members can add this amazing option to an account for only $1 per month. Unlimited plans can upgrade for $2 and all others can experience fast and pop-up free surfing for only $3 a month more. Use it for a month, or for a year, there are no minimum requirements.

Please note the following:

• Dial-Up Access is designed to connect one computer or individual to the Internet. 
• Dial-Up Access is not intended to be a full time connection. Line will be disconnected after 4 hours of continuous use per session.
• Member agrees not to provide any full time information services over this connection, not to use any automatic method to avoid inactivity disconnect, and to keep the connection active only when the member is actively using it.
• E-mail can remain on our server for a maximum of 15 days, after which it will be deleted.
• Web pages under Personal Plans (Base, 60, and Unlimited Membership plans) cannot have any type of advertisement whatsoever. However, pages can contain a link to business web sites. MacNet reserves the right to switch your account to a Business Membership if the page is used for business purposes.
• Web page usage reports are not included; if these reports are required, please choose one of our MacNet Hosting Services.

Dedicated Access

MacNet offers Members several packages that provide Dedicated Internet Access.

Some Notes on Dedicated Account Access Packages

• Includes a 6 host (3-bit) IP subnet.  For more addresses, please contact us at 394-4689 or email help@macatawa.org.
• Customer (a) buys all equipment necessary for both ends of the connection, and (b) donates the MacNet portion to the MacNet.
• Fees reflect MacNet Dedicated Internet Access only. Fees do not reflect fees to Ameritech, Holland BPW or another circuit provider.
• For Fiber Connections higher than 1.5Mbps, please contact us at 394-4689 or email help@macatawa.org.
