As I began exploring the world wide web over the summer of 1995, I realized something had to be done to focus students on the resources that would be most appropriate for them. The original East Middle School web page began as a simple launchpad for resources I had selected for class projects. The page would only be on the hard drive of our machine at EMS.
Then a group of students from my media advisory council wanted to get involved and the Macatawa Area Freenet was willing to host our site...the project exploded.
I soon found that creating web pages was a good way for me to continue learning about the Internet, and share sites with the growing number of teachers and media specialists asking for help.
Creating web pages actually is very easy, keeping the links current is not. If you'd like to help keep this site growing, please drop me a line.
